Start a project
MobileMap was founded in 2017 in Cumberland, Rhode Island by engineers and field professionals who'd spent careers watching desk-driven designs collide with right-of-way reality. We started a firm that begins every project at the pole, in the trench, on the ground.
We work with carriers, investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, municipal broadband authorities, and the EPC firms building the next generation of American infrastructure. Our scope ranges from a single pole audit to multi-state fiber rollouts and substation programs — but the principle stays the same: capture truth, design from truth, deliver truth.
Today MobileMap supports projects in 48 states, with field crews dispatched from our Cumberland, RI headquarters and field operations hub in Clifton Park, New York.
No design leaves our office without ground-truth verification. GPS-located poles, photo evidence, hand-counted attachments — every time.
Field data, engineering, permits, and make-ready under one roof. Fewer handoffs means tighter schedules and zero finger-pointing.
Our outputs are construction-ready — the GC, the splicer, and the inspector all read the same page. Designs that match what gets built.
Most engineering firms hand you off. Account manager to project lead, project lead to designer, designer to field tech, field tech to QA. Every handoff is a chance for context to evaporate — and for the schedule to slip while you re-explain what you already explained last week.
We don't work that way.
Every project is assigned a dedicated Project Manager at kickoff. They stay on your project from scope review through final closeout — not just the easy parts. Same name, same inbox, same number for the life of the engagement.
Your PM has the authority to mobilize crews, approve change orders, and re-sequence the schedule. They're not relaying messages — they're making the calls and answering for them.
Your PM is talking to the crew on the pole, the engineer on the design, and the locator in the right-of-way every day. When you ask “where are we on Mile 14?” you get a real answer in real time — not a follow-up email tomorrow.
Weekly status reports, milestone tracking, and a single source of truth for every deliverable. You always know where the project stands — and so do we.
The result: fewer surprises, tighter schedules, and a partner who knows your project as well as you do.

Whether it's a single pole or a 50-mile route — we'd like to hear about it.
